Arkansas Commission on Children, Youth, and Families

                                                                         The Commission's Work and Achievements

The Commission studies and recommends improvements to state courts and state court practice for children, youth, and families.

While the Commission's work focuses on juvenile justice and dependency-neglect proceedings, it also includes any court proceedings involving children.

The Commission adopted the Council of State Governments' Justice Center's White Paper titled Core Principles for Reducing Recidivism and Improving Other Youth Outcomes.

As a result of the Commission's work, each of the four guiding basic principles* has advanced. To discover more about the accomplishments associated with each fundamental concept, click the download icon in the menu.
